DreamlandA Poem by Savannah GossettMe and my father have this connection This strong connection We do everything together Eat ice cream Watch movies Have deep conversations He even helps me with my homework Goes to my games And even my stupid school dances He's proud of me And I love him I remember once We went to a park It was beautiful The flowers The sky The grass Even the bees I remember he made me pancakes Every morning With eggs And toast He would always And I mean always be honest He was the best father A girl could ask for But was he really Or… Or was it all a dream You see the reality of it all is I had a father But he's gone I don’t remember anything we did Because he was never there You see I don't remember anything Because it was all a dream So why would I dream about something That didn’t even exist I couldn’t tell you All I know is that it was a dream A good dream that turned into Bad reality But who cares about reality When your dreaming right Because in the end It was All A dream
