My Rose

My Rose

A Poem by Savannah Gossett

Flowers bloom

And when they do it’s beautiful

But flowers also die

And when they do it’s sad

My flower died recently

I miss it so much

It was everything to me

It helped me cope with my feelings

It helped me feel as if nothing else mattered

It helped me want to feel alive

And most of all it helped me feel

Wanted and loved

My flower was a Rose

Her name was Rose

My daughters name was rose

She was taken of this earth to early

But when she was still here

Blooming like the beauty she was

It was amazing

Because I loved my Rose

And because of My Rose

I knew what it felt like to be a father

A father for a split second

This is touching. For a father, her daughter is the most important thing and you've penned it in such a beautiful way that i can feel the pain of the father.
