lost in reality

Do you ever feel lost 

That is called reality 

Reality is something real 

It's hard to know when your in reality

Or in lost

To be lost is when you feel something that doesn’t exist 

For some people 

You read a book 

Or watch a movie 

That is to escape reality 

So you feel lost 

In another person's world

Instead of it being your own 

Sometimes it feels like a weight being lifted of you chest 

And not because you don’t love your reality 

But because when you feel lost in another world 

Your are escaping

Escaping from anything and everything 

It feels as if 

Nothing else matters 

Like you are alone in the world with just your mind

Glued to someone else's

So don’t feel the reality  

Feel lost 

Because sometimes it’s hard to find a place where you belong

But once you do that feeling 

The feeling of lost 

Can go away as fast as it can come back 

So try to feel lost as much as you can 

Before reality hits you 

And it will hit 

It will hit hard

I get it that the poem speaks about walking away from reality into the deep woods of lost and escaping there, on occasion or for some time. Thanks, nice way to put it.

I appreciate you are using your time to create poems as opposed to losing time in whatever venues are available to HS students these days: video games, skateboarding, armed robbery, whatever. Good job.

Look at a couple of snags that you might consider changing if you want to do so: " It's hard to know when your in reality" would probably work better with "you're" instead of "your". In a couple of places "you" is used when "your" would be better such as , "lifted of you chest " where the intent was likely "lifted off your chest" minor stuff, but you get one chance to make a good first impression.

Again, for sharing your work it was a pleasure to read.
