I'm Lost... And Perfectly Okay With It

Written on my Junior retreat for school as I was walking outside

It's amazing how fast I can lose myself
How quick my pain just melts away
Any trace of despair, anger or tears
Just leaves, dies off as if it never existed
All of this happens when I look at the moon
As I stroll along the imaginary path
And stare in awe at the man

As I lose myself in his eyes
I can feel all my troubles melt away
His fellow stars,
They comfort my tears, my heartaches
They make me feel loved, not alone
As if there were a million hands out there
Holding mine saying, "It'll all be okay"
I'm lost tonight
Just the moon stars and I
And I'm perfectly okay with it.

It really is amazing how fast we can lose ourselves, and I loved how you dove right into that. The end three lines are my favorite, clearly demonstrating just how quickly you can let go of the world. Well done, and welcome to Writerscafe. :)
