Born Blessed

Sometimes it so happens that we overlook the greatest gifts in our life because they are given to us without any effort. A tribute to the chance to live life.

I may be not a superstar

May not own a wonder car

People might not blow my horn

but I am blessed, since I was born

 

Blessed with two legs,

 strong enough

to climb the stairs of the life

Blessed with two hands,

Stiff enough

to hold my values through it's strife

 

Blessed with two eyes,

filled with dreams

Blessed with a tongue

to taste tasty creams

 

Blessed with ears

to hear sweet songs

Blessed with speech,

speak right or wrong

 

Blessed with loving

 father and mother

and family, about

 me who bother

 

Blessed with a future to live

Blessed with a smile to give

Blessed to play around

Blessed to laugh aloud

 

Blessed to sing and run

Blessed to have fun

Blessed to live my way

each and everyday

 

Blessings are everywhere

in every view that I share

in every breath that I take

in every frown that I fake

in ever step that I walk

in every word that I talk

 

So, I was born blessed

and so were born you

Count your blessings before

you sum your troubles to cry to

This is so inspiring!!! Stunning piece. It's absolutely fantastic! And yes, we do often take things for granted.. especially with what we were given and what we have.. we do need to stop and look and smell the flowers. We need to live.. and thank what we have. =) Instead of moping around with what we don't have or could never have, we should look at what makes us happy. ^o^ Because those are the things that will be in our lives till our end. Thank you for this write. It's so motivating. I am thankful for this life of mine even with the struggles and pain. Thank YOU!
