The Pointing Game

The Pointing Game

A Poem by Boldpen
"

Blaming is one thing that we do daily. but is blaming correct or are we just covering our errors?

"

World nowadays is very active

Everyone is one and same

Everyone is very busy

engaged in a pointing game.

Car was slow, so I am late

Work’s not done for time was less

All mistakes are done by mate

Others have made my life a mess.

Character’s not there, parent’s blame

Point it to school, If know-how is wrong

Marks are less, Teachers are lame

If I can’t sing it, bad is the song

I couldn’t kick as ball was not good

Day’s heavy, so off is my mood

You are not working as you should,

So to you, I’ll be rude.

Corruption is government’s mistake,

Terrorist attack, Police should worry

For degrading environment rate

Factories should be one to say sorry

When no one’s left, we accuse God

For we are puppets, he pulls the string

All misery and trouble, by him are brought

“If it wasn’t him, I would have been a king”

And this is what we do best,

Imposing our guilt at somebody

That “somebody” points it to another

And the cycle goes on for eternity

But we forget, a certain fact

Amendment, how’s there going to be?

If we hide scratches in excuses’ paint

And never claim responsibility?

Accept your fault, without scare

Rather than putting a false skit

For we all know, humans err

But superhuman are one who admit

And truth remains in our heart

We all know it, deep inside

Whenever in act we are wrong

Whenever in act we are right.

That was really hilarious. I loved how you use both ridiculous and really true examples of the pointing game. It adds to the poem's appeal. This is really good. Specially the message it wants to convey. Good job on this one. Keep on writing!

Ahhh yes, the pointing game. A very popular game for high schoolers, if I may so so myself.

Seriously, it bugs me how much people blame one another. Stupid, petty, plastic arguments can end up doing a lot of damage to one's self, friendships, relationships, and even countries! When are we really going to just take credit where credit is due and move on?

Once again, a great and mature write!

Laying blame is indeed an unneeded habit, sometimes one that I find I am in need of breaking myself. Wonderful words put to this feeling, well done!
