Something In The WayA Poem by HannahTribute to Kurt Cobain
Underneath the bridge a misery lingers,
Staining the atmosphere like the smoke on his fingers. Alone and weary consumed by sorrow, Patiently anticipating another sombre tomorrow. Disturbed by the gentle droplets of rain, Enhancing his despair, reflecting his pain. Long, hair conceals his pale, hopeless eyes, His morbid expression aware of realities deceitful lies. Skin so pale glowing in the night, Enduring his fate, and life’s impossible fight. Ragged clothes limply hang to his feeble frame, He has a horrifically succumbed to his perturbed minds game. Distorted perception and a constant desire for drugs thrill, devouring his sanity igniting his longing to kill.
But only to inflict death on his own catalysing, dark soul, To cease the agony of his hearts impending hole. Self destruction is a manipulative force he relentlessly possesses, He indulges in his narcissistic isolation he merely confesses. His solitude is hauntingly eerie. He is blissfully alone, Accompanied by the cars scream and the rivers gentle moan. He is abandoned and numb as the drugs horrifically pulse through his veins, Stealing his emotions replacing his torture and pains. The suffocating trees writher and horrifically contorts, Shadows and faces plague every contrived thought. Hypnotized by hallucinations tarnished with regret, His depression is inevitable, he will never forget. Suicide is the answer it is the fate which he believes, In life he does not exist. He will be alive when he leaves. © 2012 HannahReviews
