Nothing To Say

I'm staring at the screen,
fingers poised to type,
and find I have nothing to say.

Instead of discussing in a poetic format
the ups and downs of my life to date
or the people I love and care for,
or even the people I frequently wish would
drop
dead,

I can't.

I'd rather talk about trees,
or dreams.
Things with no feelings.

No hidden messages to be discovered here.

I have nothing to say.
