You Regret Me.

You Regret Me.

A Story by Hannerr.

The sun is rising,

We're both freezing,

But the bright light appearing over the horizon

Is making it all worthwhile.

It's still dark,

We're still cold,

And I'm still pissed off

That you made me get up.

The icy ground

Brings our feet to life,

As we're running home towards a warm house,

A warm drink and each others attention.

My slippers are slipping,

My feet feel dead,

And there's little else to look forwards to,

Except your overbearing attention.

You agree when I say,

That the view was stunning,

And that it's something we'll remember

For the rest of our lives.

Smile and nod and smile and nod,

Regardless of what you're saying,

I give up trying to make you see,

The point I'm trying to make.

You pack and you leave,

And you finish with the formalities,

Of 'Thank you for having me,

I've had a great time.' Honest.

Let me leave, let me leave!

Thank the lord, I can go.

'Thank you for having me,

I've had a great time.' Honest.
