Fear Has No ControlA Story by Hannah PorterFear. It’s four letters. Frightful. Emotional. Anticipated. Right. Fear is only a word yet we allow it to frighten us for no reason. We allow our brains to respond and act in ways we never would. We might hit, kick, scream, or cry all because we let four simple letters frighten us. Fear is an emotion. We all know that. But it’s no truly a logical emotion. We can be happy, cheerful, sad, or tired and we can truly feel all of those yet fear, fear is felt but not in a way we can describe unless we list objects. Objects aren’t scary, just the ideas that bring the emotion are. Fear truly is an emotionless emotion. Fear is anticipated. We all know it’s coming. We all have walked into a haunted house expecting to approach our fears yet we let the ideas overpower us to restrain from being scared, so we scream, or cruse, or even cry. All because we don’t allow ourselves to anticipate the fears we are approaching. We all know what is coming. Fear is always anticipated whether voluntary or involuntary. Fear is right. It’s always right. We know what scares us and we let it because we know that our brains are intelligent. We know what we are afraid of, furthermore making fear correct. Fear is right, it always knows. Fear can be felt. Fear is only four letter though. Fear is only a word. Fear is only one of millions of emotions. Why let it overpower? Why let it be felt, be frightful, be an emotion be anticipated, be right? Why put fear in control?
