broken girlA Poem by Hannah Paige
She was the sort of girl who was always in love
always preoccupied with this boy or that always in love with a thing or a place enamored of trees, mountains, overalls, the color green she captioned every picture with a soliloquy about joy or sadness or sunshine or birds everything to her could be poetry she loved Poe and Dickenson and approached life like a classic artwork but as with so many masterpieces she was embossed in tragedy she ran too fast not to fall fell too hard not to break.
