Sensibilities

Sensibilities

A Poem by Hank Writes

Yesterday, everything was senseless

I was invisible standing before you

You were blind

I wanted to cry out to you, I was mute

And you were deaf

Today, we are better

We talk and we listen

Our vision much more clear

I reach out to touch you

But still you can’t feel

There is something in the air between us

Yet, you cannot taste my desire

And I cannot smell your fear

Tomorrow, none of it will matter

I will no longer need to see or hear you

Touch, smell and taste will be irrelevant

When we believe in the timing

When we know ourselves and love each other

This will be the only thing we need to have it all make sense

I have six sisters, three daughters and a wife. I do understand the poetry.
"Yet, you cannot taste my desire
And I cannot smell your fear "
Some woman like war and confusion. Leave poor men in turmoil. Making sense is very hard sometime. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
