The Weatherman

The Weatherman

A Poem by Hank Writes

Fall in love he said, it was a lie

Yes, a beautiful change, but you soon withered and died

You ended up stripped bare and must grow again

Time passed and his winter made you cold, and you were stuck inside

Let me help… I’ll light a fire, I’ll dig you out

Icy conditions no longer, go where you want

His gusts blow strong, the winds knock you over

I bring a gentle breeze, the winds of change

Reject his spring, and enjoy the warmness and sweetness I bring

His violent storms battered you, you lose power

The clouds will subside and I will shower you with affection

A permanent vacation, let’s live forever in your summer
