Snow

Soft, flaky white crystals

drifting gently to the ground,

gathering in great mounds,

inviting children to play

On a white mountaintop,

a mellow wind blowing,

a family stands gathered

gazing at the sparkling stars

It’s February here in Ontario and there’s not a flake of snow on the ground and the norm is to have a couple feet of it. As much as I enjoy the beauty of a snowflake, I will not shed any tears if ‘none’ show up again this season :)

I live in central Minnesota, and we haven't had much snow this season, but a few days ago we got about a foot of it. I enjoy winter while it's here, but I wouldn't mind if spring showed up. Thank you for reading.

On the rare occasion when you find the snow meandering down in super sized flakes with each one a picture and the wind non existent. I can actually smile and enjoy the outdoors, you know, build a snowman etc. But the minute i go back inside i prefer it just melt away so i can enjoy the memory :)

We just had a huge snowstorm. For all the difficulties it
caused, power outages, traffic snarls, schools being closed,
for me there is still nothing more beautiful than seeing the
tremendous pine, just outside our kitchen window, decorated
with gorgeous drifts of snow on its' boughs.

I'm in the exact same situation as you. We have a ton of snow and closed businesses and school, etc, but all the snow piled up in banks and hanging on trees is beautiful. Thank you for expressing your thoughts.
