Father, humbly I come before you
lifting up to you his name
knowing that your love and Spirit
will protect him one in the same

Grace him with the sun
to bring warmth upon his soul
or the rain to wash away
this world so that he be whole

Let him see the beauty of nature
that your name surely magnifies
let not the deceit of evil
ever past before his eyes

Keep him healthy and strong of body
so it's you he will cherish
and by this relationship
seek you first that he shouldn't perish

Guide his feet upon a path
that leads to right not wrong
that he be given the knowledge
of wisdom all his day long

I'm thankful he knows you and
from your ways he'll not part
but also Father that it's his name
that's been placed within my own heart
