What do you want in your woman...be honest, PLEASE

do you want her to stand or be on her knees

to speak with her mind as well as her heart

or just say nothing and in your life never take part

 

do you wish her to be a puppet on a string

where she does what you tell her no matter the thing

 

or does it matter how or what she may feel

I mean do you want her truth, can you face what's real

 

should she give you her all and never dare speak up

or jump at your commands like some well-trained pup

 

does she speak only when she's spoken too

bow before you afraid of what you will do

 

or will you see she stands tall and proud

for all to see she's yours in any crowd

 

again be honest, PLEASE think, what do you want

a woman to wife or a simpleton for a jaunt...

I wish you double spaced this, or used a different font. I feel like the woman shouldn't have to submit to what the man wants. I do like how you show the difference between a wife, and just some bimbo though.

To be honest, I don't want a woman as property.... but rather as a friend.
This is a pretty good poem, but the letters are over ripe.

This really is wonderful. I usually prefer free flow poetry, but this has so much emotion in it. Partners who can stand side-by-side and take the journey together is what is most important. Don't let anyone stand above you :)

I`m kidding of course. I always wonder when
I see this kind of writing. Don`t you realize that
men and women are just people, some good , some
bad.
A woman should be dignified, self reliant, give as
good as she gets. Give and take with her man.
Beyond that , you will have to train him.

Okay, that's a joke folks.

Its sad to even read such words, such questions in this day and age. Some people don't have to, think, about this it just comes natural the way it should.

I don't want a woman I look up or down too, but one I can look straight ahead with so we can both know where we're going together. The person who is always by my side, sharing the same shadow. The one who when I breathe, she exhales.
