The door that opens...

The door that opens...

A Poem by Hanan_Maliah

They say when one door closes another will open

but before you go thru look at how you're cope'n

make sure that your heart is truly on the mend

so that it'll be fewer tears you have to spend

you see to go from intended to broken heart

when you were never supposed to be apart

then to once again start over on a fresh page

leaves one wondering what's next on life's stage

do you then begin to believe yet another's promise

or never look back and run fast from love's kiss

crossing your arms tight as if it will guard yourself

putting your spirit in a box ending up on a dusty shelf

maybe it's not a wise move to start over today

but with a better thought and something to say

let me just to wake up and begin the morrow

my depths rise and slowly there will be no sorrow

so many facets there is to this jewel called "I"

laughter, sadness, joy, and tears are all part of "my"

in the beginning there was simply just a "me"

but with trust, in the end, it will become "WE"....

This is an eloquent "dialogue" with the "self". I wonder if it is the mind that begins these conversations, or the heart.
A lovely write which flowed on my Arabic taste buds for some odd reason.

About
Simple...I love to write! Some it may please and then some I am sure it won't, but this is why one of my favorite quotes from a particular book is "Approval not required or Desired!" I do appreciate .. more..
