A love almost lostA Poem by Hana SaemonCancer and love
Sometimes it's easier to forget
The golf ball that's in your head It always seems so normal When you say "I love you girl"
Then the mood swings come And so easily you jump From the man so full of passion To a stranger so full of tension
And then you wrote that note About the girl you used to dote If again, you lose your memory She's the love not meant to be
From the chaos, you awakened Read the note you should have burnt With eyes so full of sadness You chose to put her first
You said the love you had Although was never bad Was selfish to continue Her best interest's not you
She didn't understand why As tears fogged up her eyes A love that seems so true Was gone is a moment of blue
As tears fell down her cheeks Weeping pains she tried to hid You came and held her hand Her heart you tried to mend
Because every cell in your body Tells you this love is meant to be You said there'd be depression If you choose to hide your passion
She said she never knew The love she has for you Until the day she's almost lost Her life, her love, that was...
The best thing she's ever had The one thing that makes her glad To wake up every morning
Alive and actually living
So you put away the note And vow never to quote The lines that would have killed A love that's truly real
