DevouredA Poem by Hana SaemonNot in a good place and just feeling like... well... read on.
Scars… here…
everywhere Like ugly tattoos inked Blood red,
they are no more Just
painful reminders in pink
Mirrors
reflect only the surface The surface full of smiles The surface
of happiness The surface
full of lies
Dark
feelings devouring The sanity
of what used to be Consumes
and feeds Leaving
carcasses of what was me
Happiness,
is all we desire A world of
rainbows and butterflies But
sometimes it rains Sometimes
there are tears in the eyes
Will you
listen? Will you be
there? When what I
don’t understand I can no
longer bear
Will you
fix all these The broken
pieces? Or will you
pack and leave
Til the
darkness ceases? © 2013 Hana SaemonAuthor's Note
