Forfeit

Forfeit

A Poem by Hana Saemon
"

Written ages ago when I first fell in love :)

"

Looking into your eyes,

There I see,

The whole life, a whole new world

Waiting for me.

The sufferings, the pain

The sorrows,

The scars make sense,

They were preparations for tomorrow.

I will do it again,

Once over,

Twice even,

Ive fallen under...

...your arms,

Into your embrace,

fallen so hard,

lost this race,

If losing is what this is,

This game, I'll forfeit,

Steal my heart,

My soul is yours for keeps.

The wall is down,

Well, there never was.

Not bulletproof, no ammunition,

Vulnerable, caution ive tossed.

Crazy?

Maybe.

Worth the risk?

Totally.

Pick me up,

Ive fallen so hard

Or fall with me

And together pick up the pieces of our broken hearts...

This is a very sweet and honest write about falling in love. How past pain all starts to make sense as it prepares you for new challenges and how that painful road led you to a love much greater than ever experienced before. I like how you describe being vulnerable to the other person, sometimes its hard to be so open after being hurt but when you come across a true and honest love, caution dissipates, leaving your soul open for the other to either protect and love, or maim and scar.

I love these lines here. I love it when the outside world thinks you are nuts but you have that glorious but scary feeling while taking a risk, although worthwhile, it's thrilling. I also love the idea of two people falling in love and mending their broken hearts together. Beautiful write :)

Funny how we sometimes let go of all fears and jump right in when we have fallen so hard for someone. Nothing matters but that person. Now that I'm older, I'm more cautious. haha Good poem.
