Do you remember my name?

Do you remember my name?

A Poem by Hana Saemon
"

Something I wrote for my partner who has lost his memory again due to his tumour. This time, he doesn't even remember his name, let alone mine.

"
And so, it happened again
Just as my hopes were up
Now they're all in smokes
Dear God, this test is so hard

He doesn't remember my name
He doesn't remember himself
He doesn't know a thing
I don't really know what's left

I see the questions in his eyes
The answers he found in mine
Although his memory is gone again
Our love has stood the test of time

He says he doesn't remember me
But he feels it deep inside
His heart still calls my name
The name the tumour hides

So began yet another journey
Of friendship, discovering and dating
We'll fall in love again
What's a better cure than loving?
The ring is still on my finger
A promise from you to me
In the deepest depths of your soul
Our love you will always see
I, too, made a promise to you
That I'll stick by you no matter what
I told you I'll always love you
And I know what's in your heart

Written rather quickly, just kinda flew off my fingers. i guess i just needed to let it out, and writing keeps me sane, in such an insane situation

Beautiful hun, straight from the heart and you can really feel it in the words you use. I love your writing, the flow, the style and the journey through love and pain, inner turmoil and fear that you portray so eloquently. The love between you and your partner sounds like it will stand any test it's faced with.

For some reason these lines really stuck with me through-out reading it. Always a joy to read your work. Keep writing whatever comes out of your heart because it is beautiful.

Wow. This is amazing! True love is still true even if it's hidden. That ring, it's a symbol. A symbol that he is still there no matter what comes across

:: this heartsong is moving and overwhelming beyond measure... i have no words to even begin to tell you how beautiful the two of you are... as a couple... i send you all the magic at my command... it's little... but i send it to express my gratitude... there's such love and courage in your words that i believe in all you say... with all my heart...
