Written for my fiance who is battling stage 3 cancer. He is in another country for his treatment while im here continuing my studies. This was written when i was feeling particularly low one night.
So much pain, They show in your eyes So much hope, I see in your smile. So much love, I feel in your touch. So much faith, I sense in my heart.
And when you are far away, when I can’t see you, or feel you, or sense you, when I cannot be there to hold your hand, and share your pain, or make you smile, I say a small prayer, that God will be there to hold you, take away the pain I can't, and put an eternal smile on your face.
Should fate decides that my journey in this life ends here, And I breathe my last breath... Should I never get to look into your eyes, Or hold your hands, And touch your face...
Should I am no longer able to take away your pain, And live out the promises, And be there for you... I want you to know, That this last part of my journey has made my whole life worth living, And it is all because of you.
And I hope I have made you smile enough, and given you enough love, and shown you how wonderful life can be, that it will last til your last breath.
You are always in my prayers, No matter how far apart we are.
A true romantic write.I especially like the opening lines " So much pain,
They show in your eyes
So much hope,
I see in your smile.
So much love,
I feel in your touch.
So much faith,
I sense in my heart."
This is excellent and you truly love him.God Bless

The intensity of emotion in this poem is overwhelming! Not sure if it is written for a lover, a parent, a child, but sure it holds love in every line. So beautiful. Lydi**
