Devil In The Blue Dress

Devil In The Blue Dress

A Story by Jordan Mychal Hanley
"

A short story/epic poem about tantalizing mysterious woman who lures a man into her web of desires through seduction.

"

June 6th, 1944

Standing in the back of the barroom with a twinkle in her eye

Luscious, dark, red lips so good, they could make a man cry

Dazzling blue dress, that sparkles in the light

Long long legs that could go on all night

Eyes as as green as an emerald in the rough

She puts a cigarette to her lips, lights it, and takes a puff

She looks at him with a ravenous glare

His heart is beating so fast he's surprised she even knew he was there

With a slow extension of her arm and finger

She gives him the sign to "come hither" so he dare not linger

He moves swiftly and sees her beautiful, shiny, black hair

She lifts her hand palm down, as he takes it, kisses it, with a charming flare

He feels like the luckiest man alive

Her beautiful scent is Chanel Number Five

He's not the most handsome of men but he's got a great smile

Something hypnotic about her eyes and her style

He buys her a drink and they talk

She looks at him with hungry eyes, leans in and whispers in his ear, "lets take a walk"

So they drink their drinks, stand up and leave

Not one second passes without him thinking, "This i just can't believe"

They step outside into the dark cool night

"Let's go back to my place" she says, as he agrees without any need to fight

They make it to her apartment, its beautiful, luxury, with a lot of open windows everywhere to look out

Beautiful new wooden floors, carpets, kitchen, its top notch without a doubt

He looks up and around with a look of awe

"Beautiful" he remarks as if there's not one flaw

"Would you like a drink?" she asks as she makes clicking noises with her high heeled shoes across the living room floor

"Yes" he replies, as she walks to her liquor and starts to pour

As she mixes and pours, she tells him to take a seat

He sits down on the couch then she walks over with two glasses in her hands and says, "Jack Daniels. Neat"

She sits down next to him as they clink glasses together, toast, and take a sip

She presses her luscious lips against his as he takes her and makes her dip

Pressing their lips together, she strokes his head and moans

He holds her tight in his arm and kisses her sweetly as the passion shakes him to his bones

She comes back up as their lips unlock

She sets her drink down stands to her feet and says, "Watch me. Walk"

She walks over to a record player i the corner of the room, and puts a record down

She takes the needle lays it down slowly as the music plays, and she starts to slowly move her body around

She gyrates her hips gently from left to right

Letting the music move her as she stares in his eyes and the heat between them starts to ignite

Seducing him, moving her hips around as her dress sparkles in the moonlight

He feels as though his heart has sunk into his gut and and its locked up tight

She comes to him, never breaking eye contact for a second

Her lips called to him again, as he looked to her and beckoned

The passion so fluid and so intense it was electric and magnifying

They made love all night, as if it were their last and they were dying

With one night gone, so is he

Blowing in the wind is a piece of paper with bold letters plain to see

Police bulletin, If you have information

"MISSING" with his picture and the date 2 weeks later

"Missing since June 6th, 1944"

She sits in the back of the barroom with her sparkling blue dress

Dark, red, lips, and piercing eyes she scans the room, It's all in a mess

She spots a young handsome man, as they lock eyes and he stares at her

She smiles with that hungry look, wags her finger to tell him "Come Hither"

He's so captivated, so entranced, he flows to her without thought and starts to talk

She cuts him off, leans into his ear, bites her bottom lip, and gently whispers, "Lets take a walk"
