Imagine

Imagine

A Poem by Hamze

Imagine.
where will she go
when her wings turn grey
when her call grows old
Will she turn to the offspring she raised?
or will the waves of time disperse it's bond

How will she apologise for her past
for those she neglected, to those who cared
When they leave

Will she reminisce on a life unfulfilled?
or on a legacy undone?
Perhaps she will divide her sadness
between a window and a closed door
Perhaps her mind will be kind

alleviating her of its anguish
Imagine.
where will she go
when her soul is turned away
and when her neighbours are indifferent to her past.
