Melon

Melon

A Poem by Hamkar
"

The melon triggers memories...

Melon

I think of a melon,

Smell the sea,

Taste the juice,

Live the freshness,

Touch the water,

Watch it ripple,

I am young.

A free girl.

Dancing, singing, laughing,

Living the world,

Touching beauty,

Tasting dreams,

Dripping love,

I am a memory.

Wispy, floating, delicate.

A thin strand

Of spirit

Connected

By the thought of

A melon.

This is just lush with description. I really like the way it all comes together with the single thought of a melon!

Beautiful. I like how you put so many things that appear unconnected together in a beautiful form. Great!

ahh-i know this feeling-great poetry-
i love the free flowing smooth way this reads-
this has such gorgeous imagery-
and it's true--things trigger memories-
and this is a delicious poetic memory :)
