The Window

The Window

A Poem by Hamkar
"

Looking through a window...

"

The Window

Sitting out of view

I look out the window

Into green meadows

And life’s youth

I see

Fairies dancing

To the song of existence

That the insects sing

I hear

Laughing from water

Sound from silence

And the ancient, living

I taste

Sweet liquorice lips

Juicy stories

Of the future

I smell

Mown grass

Paper and ink

And the fragrance of impossible

I feel

The edge of my seat

I think

Of my memories

And I wonder

If it could still be true.
