Sunshine

Sunshine

A Poem by Hamkar
"

I was going to write this for a contest, but it morphed into something completely different.

"

Sunshine

Sunshine,

Sun shine,

Over the flowers,

Over me,

Sunshine,

Sun please shine,

Brighten up the mist,

Make it glisten,

Make it special,

Shine on the flowers,

Shine on me,

Sunshine,

Come out sun,

Live,

Be present,

Shine,

Over life,

On me,

On flowers,

On sea,

Sunshine,

Sun shine.

My life needs light.

I really loved this poem. I love the vitality of it. It leaves the reader an uplifting feeling and a positive spirit. Plus I'm a huge fan of the sunshine.

thanks for reviewing my poem. Since you are the first one to review mine, i'll return favour and be the first one to review yours. This, by the way, is my first ever review of a poem in my life. So you can simply brush off my review.
I find that in this poem, poet shows yearning and a wish.
Perhaps last line shows a a little bit of desperation and urgency as the poet sort of demands that he/she needs light right away.

This was a beautiful, poignant expression.. desiring life and light.. needing the sun to illuminate your world.. How we all can relate to needing brighter moments in our lives that can become so sadly mundane at times. Wonderful write!
