Say Anything

Say Anything

A Poem by Haley
"

Can't quite describe the depth of this short poem... Just know that there is a special kind of pain that these words are laced with.

"
His thundering silence ruptures her eardrums.
He swallows his thoughts,
Their ambiance corrodes;
Like sandpaper stuck in her throat.

Her heart bleeds,
It hurts more than anything.
She elucidates every word, every scathing feeling;

She cries and cries for him to save her life...
He still says nothing.

Very powerful writing, yet so simple and hard hitting.
Like sandpaper stuck in her throat. - what imagination.
Superb - this is a great piece.

just a few soothing words, all she needs, and yet, he is not capable of giving that.

so sad...and you use such eloquent vocabulary....but in such a way as the words just fit so nicely and don't draw attention to themselves.

She cries and cries for him to save her life...
He still says nothing."

Every word you wrote had power! It was deep, it was heartfelt, it was captivating...
You're an incredible author/writer!
Keep up the amazing work!

Lovely imagery and wording, the anguish of silence being personified by thundering lightning and sand storms leaves me with quite the image of so much brewing inside yet no output. Quite a message.

Communication is difficult sometimes, at least for me, I tend to not know what to say in every situation because I’m not a talker per say, but I understand it’s needed, especially in relationships. Nice write!

This is really powerful. The imagery and wording are both very potent.

thank you very much, hannah.
Very powerful, I like the meaning and the language used.
In the line "They're ambiance corrodes;", did you mean they're as in they are, or their, as in belonging to they?
