Isabella

Isabella

A Poem by Cassick Dame

Dedicated to Isabella
The wind howls on my hair
And it halts on my sunglasses
My eyes are open
Though I've gotten little sleep
My legs still carry me

She has chestnut hair
And her eyes shine in the dark
She's smiled a little
Showing her pearly whites

She's a sleeping beauty
And slumbers a dozen days away
Her mind is frail
Though darkness is all she's seen

She's in possession of a kind heart
And an enduring spirit
Her smile seems to make i through it all
She speaks softly as a mother

And the voice
Of the sleeping beauty
Echos in the howling wind
Keeping my eyes open
