In the land

In the land

A Poem by Cassick Dame

The valley is overflowin'
The daffodils and the trolls
The trees reach to the stars
The moon tolls on, waxing and waning
The sun keeps risin', growin' an' falterin'
Ice caps the mountains
The sea smashes on the beach
Bears carry on and rumble
Bees keep a line, nectar to seek
The Gods to please
Fish flow on and don't tremble
As the earth begins to shake
And the rain keeps fallin'
Rocks tumble from up on high
And the trees start flyin'
They sky splits an' time seems to die
After the last fire
After the last flyer lands
After the last have done what they can
The sun'll emerge at that hour
And the daffodils will return
