Greenlands

Greenlands

A Poem by Cassick Dame

I've lived in the gallows of the high mountains
Shadows reaching past the dawn
Nothing thicker than those hollows in the mountains
Nothing more shallow than the caves
Never reached by the dawn

After wandering the dirt roads
After hunting for a-couple of toads
After handling a bear
After eating a pear
Nothing more simple than the dirt roads

The city block has trash you can't see
The centers lack something you can feel
Though, it ain't there at all
You can't stop kneeling to the king
Everyone is a pauper
I wanna go away in a flyin' saucer
Back to the gallows, reaching past the dawn
