Something of Beauty

Something of Beauty

A Poem by Cassick Dame
"

To my Wife

"
Well, I guess I know something of beauty
I ain't seen it much
And I've commented on it much less
Though I can see in that dress
And I can read through the hanging hair
That your eyes only wonder
What I think of you

Well, I guess I know something of beauty
I love the smell of it
I try and look at it
And out in the trees
Or the arid sand
Or the icy tops
I like to think that I'd still see that beauty
And knowing what I think of you

Well, I know something of beauty
As I look into your eyes
And I push away your hair
And I don't move from where I stand
I just smile and I say
"I love you dear
You're a beauty, what more can I say?"
That's what I think of you
