King

King

A Poem by (JR) Joshua Hernandez

I walked down the street,

Thinking Im not loved,

wondering about my life,

feeling depressed,

As I walked I saw a vision,

I saw a president,

He was sorrounded by gaurds, and had dozens of cars,

but He then changed into street cloths, worn and torn,

He told all of his gaurds to take away his things and go,

He then walked into a small city,

where he helped 2 homless citizens,

He gave them money,

He also gave them food and medicine,

but they then grabbed him,

abused him,

and murdered him,

they then placed him in a coffin,

and buried him.

I then asked why would a president do that,

He knew he was gonna die,

Why would he sacrifice his all,

knowing the people he helped,

would kill him,

but before I could finish my question,

I heard a voice say,

"Because I love you."

the end

This poem is amazing Joshua! For some reason, it really spoke to me. I really wasn't expecting the ending. I favorited it. Good job! (:
