On the cross

On the cross

A Poem by (JR) Joshua Hernandez

On the Cross

Long ago on the cross,
Soon to be covered in moss,
Jesus came and died,
Others treated him like a hide,
He could have came and vanished,
Yea, though others made him banished,
In the blink of an eye,
He lived and died,
The blessed one of three,
For you and me,
Child of the Godly Father,
Others saw him as a bother,
The son and the spirit,
“Let those who will listen, hear it.”
He is the son of God,
He was treated like sod,
Soon he was risen again
Yet still thrown in the bin
yet even though he was broken
He accepts with arms wide open
