The Lonely godA Poem by (JR) Joshua HernandezA little poem inspired by several tracks from Port Blue including "Into the Sea", "Goodbye Goose Prince" and "I am the Aeronaut". I might have to do more poetry inspired by these =)A world lies cold and dead, All life from its body has been shed, A once boisterous glade, Is now but a lonely promenade. Through the emptiness of space, With a final yet shallow grace, A pod leaves the quiet world, Its little wings lightly unfurl. A pod filled with more loneliness and lifelessness then the
rock behind; The final epilogue of his people, the very last of his kind. He sits inside and watches as the speck grows ever smaller, The distance between them grows ever longer. Never moving, never acting, simply watching, A warm touch, a final embrace, He is wanting. As the pod is outcast into space’s cruel wrath, The lonely god travels along his solitary path. © 2015 (JR) Joshua HernandezAuthor's Note
