Black IchorA Poem by (JR) Joshua HernandezEnjoy
In my room I lie "alone",
my mind is set as stone, I dream whilst completely focused, praying that God wont see us. My mind begins to play out a plan, Whilst I grab the needle in hand, One full of misery and pleasure, Of my deepest and darkest treasure. As the needle pierces deep, My heart drops to my feet, I feel my senses sharpen, But my mind begins to darken, My body twists and writhes in agony, My heart shouts "What's happening to me?", Soon its cries grow dim, Its last few thoughts are of Him. I ignore its silence, justifying my defiance, then continue on my intended plight, unaware my body is turning ghostly white. The pain is dulled, my body grows so cold, My body soon feels hollow, my mind soon begins to follow, I feel thin, bony fingers against my flesh, Its darkness with body, begins to mesh, My eyes close as its final tears are shed, now that I finally know that my heart is dead. My eyes slowly open, I feel myself choking, Before my eye lids grow thicker, From my chest I see, A black Ichor.
