Forgotten!

A broken friendship..

In silence, 

You broke our eternal promise. 

that which you swore not to break. 

Still, 

I can't remember the last day that we were together, 

As friends, 

As companions of joys and sorrows 

I do not remember the last hug, 

The latest look saying that you would always be in my life.. 

You missed me between unknown faces, 

Among people who already I'll never go back to see. 

Why did you go? 

Why you no longer are here, beside me? 

I hurt myself every time I try to answer those questions. 

I fall when I realize you're not here 

And even today, 

My life tour trying to find a way that at least tell me if you'll come back.

Why do I always remember anyone while I am so easy to be forgotten and being left behind.

I think it's true what's said here, that there are "givers and takers", where the givers always lose out. I like the line "you missed me between unknown faces" - what a fickle friend ! I try really hard to believe in "what you give out you get back" but I have yet to actually see the results. Your poem has depth and feeling, with content that I could relate to. Nice job. Penny

Yes, another on point... people so often are in their own world, but what does it do a person good, if you just would say a "hi" or to feel a warm arm around you, in times, it's needed. I know you are a person who does this to others, and you have a big heart Maya. Know your strength is your power, and it will guide you along the hard and rusty road... there is no one who could take that away from you, not even all those ignorant people. It's YOU who makes a change, and you will find out, there will be a time, things, and luck shall more around you.. ((HUGS)) sweet Sister.
