The fear of life

I fear the silence.

I am afraid of the dark.

I fear loneliness.

I am afraid of people.

I'm afraid to love.

I'm afraid of sadness.

I fear life.

And I imagine for good reason, that you fear these things... behind each a story in full.
I love the power of "I". It is... so simple. Nothing perhaps... more fundamental.
It is good to return to this, striped naked, and without dashing or pretense...
For me, I feel this poem as an invitation, one that encourages the voice of... "me too".
Except you have gone first, and risked the crossing of these waters, showing others, fearlessly, where the alligators are.
