A Poem by AnonymouslyPerfect

You wake up and you have no name
You look around and everything looks the same
The world through your eyes is all in black and white
You rub your eyes to ensure your sight

The world around you begins to crumble
You stand up and attempt to walk but all you can manage is a weak stumble
The falling debris begins to reveal a blinding light
You climb the rubble to gain some height

You glance in the direction of the illumination
You see the most colorful illustration
Beauty and grace as far as the eye can see
You race towards the light swiftly

You run and run and run but you make no ground
You stop and realize you hear no sound
you fall down to your knees
You let out a blood-curdling scream

The darkness begins to swallow you whole
The emptiness begins to take its toll
You slowly fall back into a deep slumber
You suddenly hear a rolling thunder

The lightning flashes and you jolt awake
You look out the window and realize it's still late
So you lay back down and close your eyes
And dream of better days

narrative good; imagery, great; musicality could use a few tweaks here and there so it flows smoother. Other than that, wow, well done!
