Dangerous Desires

Dangerous Desires

A Poem by Haley Wilson
"

My friends say the Devil has a charming smile, but I would like to dance with him.

"
Just one glance, and I was hooked.
Well, that might be one of my many exaggerations. You see, sometimes my thoughts are so loud and explosive that my tongue ties itself in a knot and my actions have no chance in living up to my own words. I guess that's what you do to me. As of late, you've occupied most of my thoughts and daydreams. You. Your smooth, soft voice. Your sparkling eyes that never fail to leave me astonished. The way that we mingle is unlike any other connection I have felt. They say people come into our lives for a reason, and it's never at random. I believe you came into mine to fulfill my wish for a steamy rendezvous.
Now, I know I informed you of the fluttery feelings and my overall impression I have of you. I know you thoroughly enjoyed it. But the layer that lies beneath my sugary sweet thoughts has yet to be exposed. This layer in particular is the brutal, intimate truth of what I need from you. What is it, you may ask? I want us to play Pretend for a while. For us to let go of our significant others and let the chemistry we have explode in fragments all around us. It would all start with that lingering look, and then your lips would at last meet mine. Would just that one kiss be enough to satisfy us? Oh, absolutely not. I, for one, would want much more. I want to hypnotize you with my pleasure-filled moans. To explore your body and mouth with my own eyes, and of course my lips. And I want you to never take your hands off of me, for if you were to even lift a finger, the moment would be forever lost in time.
Maybe I am selfish, and my dangerous desires will remain my own dirty secrets. But I know you must feel the same way as I do. Your words may sometimes lie, but your actions will never be able to stop screaming out your true intentions.
I guess we'll see what happens. Right?

"Your words may sometimes lie, but your actions will never be able to stop screaming out your true intentions... "
Actions're only the phase or the mirror of our thoughts (drifted to an every corner of heart) so, I believe, gestures do matter when there's a breeze of silence in between the edge of lovers. Words're only needed when the actions're already spoken through gestures. Liked the passion of your heart; heat of your spirit, & the sweated drops of your racy skin that hustled you to make more "dirty" secrets. Nice imagery. Well written.

I really like this, Haley! My favorite line was actually the "sugary sweet thoughts." I've never thought of it that way! Very beautiful poem! It gets the heart racing!

You are most welcome :)
This piece is pregnant with the introverted, cerebral Thought processes, which spilled itself rather well. The simple narrative reminds me of the film Submarine for some reason. Nice write, miss (:

Not sure if this was a complete compliment but thanks!! :)
Interesting, uplifting and challenging! Nothing promiscuous happens but the promise of it is an alluring challenge. I like it that it's short and delivers brilliantly rather than distractingly long with no content.
