Jekyl and the LoverA Poem by HaleythePoetI literally have no idea where this came from so don't mind the general sloppiness
I'm the Jekyl , And he's my Hyde
Awakening emotions from deep inside Deep in the darkest nights I hide This schizophrenia taking me for one more ride He's the one that makes me feel at peace Yet the flip side of the coin's the raging beast Going from that of a lover's stare To sharpened white teeth that have been bared. Sit upon the throne of lies Stand before the mirror with a million ties A million faces a million races What will it take to deface this? He's the one that makes me feel at peace Yet the flip side of the coin's the raging beast Going from that of a lover's stare To sharpened white teeth that have been bared On the outside he may be a monster But to me he's no scarier that the local mobster A misunderstood man he seems to be But a passionate lover he is to me.
