Just a Face

Just a Face

A Poem by HaleythePoet
"

This is just a poem put together from pieces of my college life along with relationships so I'm not sure how it will turn out.

"
She looks in the mirror
She looks at her face
She looks at her eyes
And what time can't erase

Every day she goes to class
And nobody even glances at her
She's just another student
Just another face

She left her home to go to college
Leaving her boyfriend behind
They knew it would be hard
But it was harder than they could ever imagine

He lied about seeing her
He's let her down multiple times
He's hurt her badly
But still she forgives him.

Her classes are getting harder
And wallet growing thinner
She lost her job due to no time to work
And she's starting to lose hope

Today the girl woke up with a smile on her face
The boy said he would come visit
So she put on a nice outfit
Consisting of skinny jeans and a corset

Later in the day she texted the boy
And told him what she was wearing and she was looking forward to seeing him
"Put some clothes on" he said. And the girl grew sad.
She felt sexy and beautiful in this outfit, but changed just for him.

Now she sits in class
Only a few glance at her, then go back to their work
She is just another student
Just another face.

I'll edit this later, but I can pretty much assume you know who the girl is.

I saw there wasn't a review in the house ...some pieces nor people don't need a review or a critique.
