WaitingA Poem by HaleythePoetJust a poem I threw together, I will edit it later but right now I have powerful emotions and I love to write when I feel like this. There will be mistakes and I'm sorry for that.
I wait for you
I wait for your text I wait for your calls I wait for you to tell me everything is okay But it's not...is it? You get angry when I don't text you first Do you know why I don't text you first? Because deep down I want you to text me So I know at least you are thinking of me I spend hours hoping for something...anything But it never comes At first I longed to stand by your side But that is when you showed me your true colors Or lack of them anyway Try as I may it doesn't last Will we ever end up together And be a happy couple for once A hurtful truth is better than a painful lie Men look with their eyes And women listen with their ears It is why women wear makeup And men tell lies I sit here writing this horrible poem With no rhyme, or even a theme But as I type, I still wait for you I wait for you I wait for your text I wait for your calls I wait for you to tell me everything is okay But it's not...is it?
