I See You

A breakup / cheater poem

I see you

I see who you were

I see who you are

I see who you will be.

I see what you are doing to me.

And others can see it too.

I see you locking arms with her.

I see her embracing you.

I don’t deserve this

What have I done to you?

All I did was love you, care for you, and come at your times of need

Where were you when I needed you?

Not around, that’s for sure.

You didn’t reply to my texts at night, and now I know why

You said you were sleeping

Yeah…sleeping with her.

I was stupid to believe you

I thought I learned my lesson with all the other s****y exes 

But I guess not. 

I see what they/and you have turned me into

I see you walking towards me on the street

But do you see me?

This poem makes it seem as though you actually wrote it in the moment of rage. I'm reading this poem and I feel like I'm right there with you cheering you on. Good job! I've never liked literal poems but this one is good. Only reccommendation is to maybe extend the last few lines with the continual "I see" remarks but good poem nother the less.
