A Prayer

Give me patience, give me strength,
give me courage to forgive.
Help me find the Self inside
which causes me to love, to live.
Lead me through the twisting wood,
never fearing what's ahead.
Shine a light along my path,
show me where my footsteps tread.
Give me peace to fill my soul,
even in my darkest night.
Help me reach my deepest goal:
to know that everything's alright.
