Toss Another StoneA Poem by Haley StoneInspired by an article: "Radiation Rings Hint Universe Was Recycled Over And Over"
I feel the world breathe
in the turning tides and the flow of seasons, a newborn's first crying and the last gasp of the dying, souls starting over. We inhale the exhale of our ancestors our predecessors, we tread the same ground as the grass returns and the same sun burns, as life gives way to life, like ripples in a pond reaching, spreading outward strong and wide to every side until they are again consumed, brought back whence they came where the happy heart sings, recycled rings in the breath of the breathing Universe. © 2012 Haley Stone |
