chapter 1: about to tell them

* Kayla's POV*

I'm really nervous. I'm about to tell my mother and father that I'm a lesbian. The only thing my mom hates more than lesbians are gays. My mom is a Christian nut. I walk into the kitchen and brace myself to tell her. Deep breath in and deeper breath out.
" Hi mom. Can I talk to you? And daddy?" I ask her kinda hoping she'll say no.
"Sure, baby, what is up?" Dang! She said yes. Deep breath in.
"Umm...can I talk to you AND dad?" Deep breath out.
"Yea. Go get him. We can talk over dinner. It will be done in tree minutes. He's in the basement sketching a new building design." My dad is an architect which means he is in the basement a lot of the time and it's not weird that he is sketching a building.
"Hey,daddy." I say as I jump off the last stair step and run to hug him.
"Hey baby girl!" Daddy said as he threw his arms around me and got up " What's up?"
"I..err....need to talk to you and mom about something important at dinner which is..." I look at a watch that's not there "...Now! Come on!"
"Okay,hon. Wait?....something important? NO BOYS!" Oh...he could have said 1000 different things but he chooses to say that. Ugh!
"No daddy...no boys."
"Good" than we go up stairs.
