An Astronaut Without Purpose

An Astronaut Without Purpose

A Poem by Joan Probst
"

this is a poem about how it feels to have no purpose.

"

Floating in dead space

Stars no longer align

Pressure builds like a bass

Can't move in a straight line

Floating in front of the sun

Can't reach with my hand

Can't be someone

Moving through a barren wasteland

Floating across the galaxy

An astronaut without purpose

Removing the helmet would be a tragedy

If only life was like a purchase

Floating across the universe

A destiny too far to reach

Life couldn't get anymore diverse

An astronaut on the breach of extinction

I enjoyed the flow of thoughts leading to logical ending.

The above lines. Realistic view of life and ending. Thank you Hale for sharing the excellent poetry.
