ColdA Poem by Joan ProbstThis is a poem about discovering how your mind works and not to be ashamed if its different than other's minds. Its also about knowing that you still need love and comfort even if you are different.Cold Hale Strider My lungs fill and exhale I stand and rotate No one understands how Cold No one understands how my head stills How can there be a cure for the unknown Gathered from inconclusions Drawn from emptiness I need a solution that gives me happiness Doctor, can you tell me what’s wrong? What “cure” will I receive? What wrong conclusion will you make? I need a person to make me alive I want to feel what others feel I need to feel Love I need Forgiveness I need Comfort and Touch Come a Little Closer You will not find what you need You will find what I need For I cannot give you want and need The Cold cannot be driven away Only locked away© 2017 Joan ProbstAuthor's Note
