Courage

To stand in the face of defeat is one of the hardest things to do. However, the courage to do so is what makes a man great. No awards or wordly praise, it is in thy self that salvation starts.

I swore to uphold the words honor, courage and commitment.

When i was younger those words held some resentment.

At the crossroads i stand between the past and the present.

Can i become more then merely a peasant?

Through courage we find the balance in time

It is the difference between your life and mine.

You hide from your fear and swallow your tears.

Through anger and pain, you plan to spend these years.

Our reflections are one, this much is true.

but make no mistake, i am not you.

I do not kneel, nor beg or run.

Through courage i stand, I am the rising sun.

Courage leads way to an honor bound man.

And in that belief, this sailor will stand.

So my beautiful beast, today you must fall.

I am committed to excellence and the fair treatment of all.

We're all the same, yet different, in the end our actions are what defines where we stand. And although actions and values may fade over time, it's our own commitment to them, which makes them worth something.
